Privacy policy

You don’t sign up, upload a CV or give us your contact details to browse or apply. Jobs you save are kept only in the open page and are cleared when you close or refresh it; we never receive them.

When you click Apply, you leave our site for the employer’s or job board’s own page. Anything you send them is covered by their privacy policy, not ours.

To publish your listing we collect what you enter in the job form:

• your email address;
• the company name and job details (title, description, pay, apply link and so on).

We use your email only to contact you about your posting and payment. It is never shown on the site. The job details are published publicly once we approve the listing, and come down when it expires.

Payments are handled by Paystack. We never see or store your card or bank details; we only keep the payment reference, amount and status Paystack sends back.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so the site can load and be protected from attacks and abuse. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies for this.

When you click a partner link (for example to open a Raenest account), we count the click by day and by where on the page it was. We don’t record who clicked. The partner may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

• To provide a service you paid for: publishing and managing an employer’s job posting (contract).
• To keep the site working and safe: security, fraud and abuse prevention (legitimate interests).
• To meet legal duties: keeping payment and tax records (legal obligation).

We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising profiles.

Only the service providers that run the site, and only what each one needs:

• Cloudflare: hosting, security and our database.
• Paystack: payments.
• GitHub: storing the site’s code and published job listings (never emails).

These providers may process data outside Nigeria. We use providers that protect it with appropriate safeguards. We’ll also share data if the law requires it.

• Published job details: while the listing is live, usually 30 days.
• Employer emails and payment records: up to 6 years, as required for accounting and tax, then deleted.
• Partner click counts: kept, but they contain no personal data.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to:

• tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct it if it’s wrong;
• delete it, unless we must keep it by law;
• stop or limit how we use it.

Email hello@talohunt.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).

The whole site runs over HTTPS with strict security headers, payments are verified directly with Paystack, and admin access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we’ll tell affected users and the regulator promptly if a breach puts your data at risk.

The site is meant for people aged 18 and over looking for work. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
